Sanctions and Prohibited-Use Policy

Prohibited dealings

Global Fund for Assistance Inc. will not use Stripe, directly or indirectly, for dealings involving:

• Cuba, Iran, North Korea or Syria
• The Crimea, Donetsk or Luhansk regions
• Any jurisdiction Stripe designates as prohibited
• Sanctioned or restricted individuals and organizations
• Terrorist organizations, armed groups or their representatives
• Unlawful activities or purposes prohibited by Stripe

Humanitarian purpose

Humanitarian purpose does not remove sanctions or financial-crime obligations. Programs in sensitive or conflict-affected areas proceed only through lawful, documented and vetted delivery channels.

No direct payments to unidentified individuals

We do not use Stripe to make direct payments to unidentified individuals in restricted jurisdictions.

Screening

Implementing organizations, suppliers and institutional beneficiaries are screened against applicable sanctions and restricted-party lists before receiving funds. Screening is currently performed manually by authorized staff against official government lists; no automated screening provider is connected.

Donor declaration

Before donating, every donor confirms that they are donating for lawful charitable purposes and are not acting on behalf of a sanctioned or prohibited person or organization.

Enforcement

Where compliance concerns arise, authorized administrators may suspend a campaign, reject a partner, place a proposed disbursement on hold, or refund a donation. Each action is written to an append-only audit log.
