Step 1

Choose your currency

All figures below are treated as amounts in the currency you select. No exchange rate is applied and no live market rate is used, so please enter every figure in the same currency.

Step 2

Your zakatable assets (USD)

Step 3

Gold & silver

We do not publish gold or silver prices. Enter the current price per gram from a source you trust, in USD. Gold purity is applied automatically from the carat you select. If you prefer, you can skip the weights and enter a value directly.

Used for your gold weight and for the gold-based nisab.

Optional. Added on top of any value from the weight above.

Used for your silver weight and for the silver-based nisab.

Optional.

Step 4

Eligible deductions

Amounts due now, such as immediate debts and outstanding bills.

Step 5

Nisab and your Zakat year

The threshold is worked out from the price per gram you entered above.

A Gregorian year is about 11 days longer than a Hijri year, so a commonly used adjusted rate of 2.577% is applied when you choose it.

Zakat calculation methods and nisab approaches can vary. This calculator provides an estimate and is not a substitute for individual religious advice.

This is a guide, not a ruling

Global Fund of Palestine does not issue religious rulings and has no scholarly oversight body in place. Nothing here is a claim of Zakat certification or Sharia compliance. Please confirm your calculation and your obligation with a qualified scholar or adviser.

Important status

Governance must come first

A dedicated Zakat framework is being designed so contributions can be separately designated, accounted for and reported once formal policy is approved. Zakat contributions are already recorded with a distinct Zakat designation in our records.

Global Fund of Palestine is a fiscally sponsored initiative of Global Fund for Assistance Inc., a U.S. tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 86-3361537).

Global Fund for Assistance Inc. receives contributions and retains exclusive legal control over the funds it receives.
